Are you a passionate and experienced leader with a strong commitment to inclusion and SEND provision? We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring SENCO/Assistant Headteacher (AHT) to join a senior leadership team at a vibrant school. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker who can lead high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs while contributing to whole-school development as a member of SLT.
Beginning September 2025. Duties as a SENCO/AHT:Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring high-quality support and outcomes for all pupils with additional needs
Oversee and coordinate EHCPs, referrals, reviews, and liaison with external agencies
Support staff in delivering inclusive and differentiated teaching
Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and support strategies
Contribute to the wider leadership of the school as an Assistant HeadteacherSupport staff development and promote an inclusive, aspirational culture across the school
Ideal SENCO/AHT:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)Proven experience in a leadership or SEN-focused role
Excellent understanding of SEND legislation, the graduated approach and best practice in inclusive education
Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills as a SENCO/AHTA commitment to nurturing every child and supporting staff to do the same
