We believe dogs deserve the healthiest, most natural and tastiest meals - with none of the nasties. That’s why we make FRESHly prepared food, cooked just like you would at home and delivered direct to our customers in perfect portions. As a B‑Corp certified company, you’re joining a sustainable business that genuinely cares about our people, our products and our impact on the planet. Our goal is simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives, while leaving humans smiling after every interaction.

We’ve come a long way since our co‑founders (Kev & Dave) hand‑delivered the very first Butternut Box. Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe – but we won’t stop until we’re feeding dogs everywhere. To get there, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work for us.

A bit about the role

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to act as our boots‑on‑the‑ground hiring anchor for our UK manufacturing and fulfilment sites (Rudie’s Kitchen and Aces Pantry). This is a high‑impact, Individual Contributor (IC) role – perfect for a recruiter who loves being embedded in the business, can navigate everything from corporate office roles to high‑volume frontline ops, and can confidently business partner with our Senior Leadership Team. This role balances high‑touch stakeholder management, hands‑on recruiting across all levels, and operational execution – with a strong focus on keeping senior UK hiring in house, utilising data, and leveraging AI to streamline how we work. The role is based 5 days a week on site at Rudie’s Kitchen & Aces Pantry in Blyth, Worksop.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Delivery
    • Act as the primary, trusted talent partner to the UK Operations Senior Leadership Team across Rudie’s and Aces.
    • Sit with UK directors and heads of departments to take briefings, challenge specs, manage expectations, and provide data‑backed market insights.
  • Hands‑On Hiring
    • Own and execute end‑to‑end recruitment for all senior, corporate, and office‑based roles in the UK, entirely eliminating our reliance on external recruitment agencies.
    • Roll up your sleeves and support high‑volume, frontline, or blue‑collar operational hiring during peak periods or site growth.
    • Deliver an exceptional, consistent candidate experience from initial outreach to onboarding.
  • Local Mentorship
    • Act as a sounding board for the UK‑based Ops TA Partner sitting alongside you.
    • Help guide daily priorities on site, unblock local hiring challenges, and share best practices to help upskill the local team.
  • Operational Excellence & Data
    • Use local market data to inform hiring decisions, manage stakeholder expectations around salary/pipelines, and highlight hiring risks.
    • Track and maintain clean hiring metrics (time‑to‑hire, pipeline health, quality‑of‑hire) to feedback to leadership.
    • Constantly look for ways to streamline the UK interview and assessment processes to keep us agile.
  • Automation & AI
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks within the UK recruitment workflow.
    • Active adoption of AI tools to improve sourcing speed, screen candidates efficiently, and optimise outreach.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven track record as a Talent Acquisition Partner, ideally within manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or fast‑paced operational environments.
  • A true hybrid recruiter who is just as comfortable headhunting a senior head of department as they are mapping out a high‑volume frontline campaign.
  • Confident, articulate, and mature enough to partner with, advise, and challenge senior directors and site leadership.
  • Thrives on being physically on‑site and embedded next door to the business at Rudie’s and Aces (Blyth, Worksop).
  • Data literate and genuinely excited about using modern recruitment tools, AI, and automation to work smarter, not harder.
  • Proactive, resilient, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a growing business.
Benefits
  • 257.5 hours of holiday per year (equivalent to 33 days holiday) plus an extra day for each year of service (up to 5 days).
  • 39 hours of pre‑booked paws days to support good wellbeing and self‑care (equivalent to 5 days).
  • Unlock a £500 annual budget for personal learning and development.
  • Get discounted Private Medical Insurance with Axa Healthcare.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Get discounted Private Medical Insurance with Vitality Healthcare.
  • Discounted Gym membership with MyGymDiscounts helping you stay fit and healthy.
  • Satisfy your taste buds with subsidised food from a variety of street food vans, and of course, pay‑day pizza.
  • Treat your furry friend with an employee discount on Butternut Box.
  • Say goodbye to parking woes with free parking and electric car charging.
  • Prepare for adorable office dog overload – meet Cleo, Paxo, Cali, Ronnie, Harvey, Milo, and many more.
Recruitment Process
  • A 30‑45 minute initial call with a member of the talent team – carried out remotely.
  • A 1‑hour technical interview comprising an interview challenge – carried out remotely.
  • A 1‑hour values interview – in person interviews may take place in our office at Rudie’s or Aces Kitchen (Blyth, Worksop).

Butternut Box is an equal‑opportunity employer and we value diversity and inclusion. We welcome people of different nationalities, backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives.
