Teaching and Learning Assistant - Primary Setting (Term-Time Only)Location: Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Monday to FridayAre you passionate about making a real difference in children's lives? We are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching and Learning Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and supportive school environment where children are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role:This term-time only position is focused on supporting the teaching staff in delivering high-quality education across the primary age range. You will play a key role in helping pupils to engage in learning, supporting their academic and personal development, and contributing to the positive ethos of the school.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils- Helping to manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy- Supporting pupils with additional needs to ensure full inclusion in classroom activities- Contributing to the planning and preparation of learning resources- Liaising effectively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where necessary
What We're Looking For:- Previous experience working in a classroom or educational setting is essential- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- A proactive and flexible approach to working as part of a team- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development- A conscientious and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to take initiative- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate would be advantageous
