The University Security Planner will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and overseeing security operations for on-campus events and buildings across the University. This role will ensure the safety and security of all students, staff, attendees, and assets, providing a safe and secure environment. This role will be delivered in line with direction and guidance laid out in the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn's Law).

About The Person

The successful candidate must have and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in Security & Risk Management OR similar management field.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn's Law).
  • Valid full UK driving licence (manual transmission).
  • At least three years recent, relevant security supervisory experience, working in a customer facing environment.
  • Strong team management and supervisory experience.
  • Experience in using security specific digital platforms to communicate to a wide membership (eg. Safe Zone).
