About the RolenWe are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Community Partnerships and Events Lead to support our thriving community fundraising programme.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in planning, coordinating, and executing key community-facing events. These include dinner events, fundraisers, brothers-only and sisters-only events, school fundraising programs, and Ramadan-related fundraising partnerships such as street collections. The roles responsibilities may extend beyond these specific events.n

This is a hands-on delivery role that works across multiple teams, ensuring each event is impactful, well-executed, and aligned with our mission.Primary Focus:n

To plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality community fundraising events that meet income targets, strengthen donor relationships, and embody Charity Rights values. Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning & DeliverynLead on the planning and delivery of flagship community fundraising events, including but not limited to:na sisters-only, multi-city initiative featuring Islamic talks, lectures, andworkshops for women and childrennA new brothers-only tour engaging male audiences in multiple cities through inspiring fundraising eventsn

High-profile community fundraising dinnersn

School Fundraising ProgrammenRamadan related events and programmes such as Street CollectionsnManage logistics for each event from inception to completion: venue booking, supplier liaison, volunteer coordination, run-of-show development, and on-the-day supportn

Work closely with speakers, hosts, performers, scholars, and partners to maximise engagement and giving opportunitiesn

Ensure all events are aligned with Charity Rights values and fundraising standardsn

Ensure consistency and professionalism in all event experiences

Partnerships & Stakeholder EngagementnIdentify and cultivate relationships with strategic community partners, such as local fundraising groups, community influencers, and networks that align with Charity Rights event calendar.n

Maintain clear and professional communication with supporters, donors, and participants before, during, and after eventsn

Attend and manage events on-site, including evenings and weekends as required

Marketing & PromotionnCollaborate with the Communications team to create engaging promotional materials and event campaigns, including digital invites, social media content, and WhatsApp graphics n

Use tailored messaging to target relevant community segments, especially through grassroots networks and community leadersn

Leverage grassroots networks to boost awareness and attendance

Budget & ReportingPrepare detailed budgets for each event and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effectivenessn

Track KPIs such as funds raised, attendance, donor conversions, and ROI using appropriate toolsn

Produce post-event reports and debriefs to inform future planning

Risk and CompliancenRisk & Compliance Conduct risk assessments and implement contingency plans for eventsn

Ensure all events comply with health and safety, data protection, and internal policiesn

Ensure GDPR compliance and adherence to safeguarding policies

Success IndicatorsnEvents delivered on time and within budgetn

Fundraising and attendance targets achievedn

Strong feedback from attendees, partners, and internal teamsn

Growth in donor engagement or acquisitionn

High quality planning, reporting, and team collaboration

Essential Skills and ExperiencenProven experience coordinating community events, fundraising dinners, or challenge fundraisers—ideally within the charity or non-profit sectorn

Excellent organisational and project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple events simultaneouslyn

Strong interpersonal skills and experience engaging with community leaders, supporters, and donorsn

Experience working with culturally diverse communities, particularly within grassroots fundraising settingsn

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, in line with the event calendarn

Strong written and verbal communication, with confidence in representing the charity publiclyn

Self-motivated and confident in a remote working environment

Desirable Skills and ExperiencenFamiliarity with Islamic giving practices, seasonal campaigns (e.g., Ramadan), and community fundraising dynamicsn

Knowledge of event compliance, risk assessment, and safeguarding protocols

Salary:£27,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experiencen
