Biomedical Scientist Job Description
  • Speciality - Histology AP
  • Location - Derby
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Contract Length - Ongoing
  • Pay Rate - £15.75 per hour (13.69 PAYE)
  • Band 4
  • Must be able to cut at least 25 blocks per hour, including complex cases
  • Microtomy, embedding and microscopic QC of histological samples
  • May be required to support clerical (booking in duties) on lab information system, or manual special stains (depending on experience)
  • Must have UK/NHS Lab experience
  • F2F interveiw and practical assessment will be required before starting

Requirements

  • 1 year(s) post graduate experience
  • Valid Passport/Visa
  • Fully compliant and cleared to work
  • DBS or Police Check
  • HCPC Registered
