Store Supervisor

Job Summary:

Panificio - Bread & Bakery is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Supervisor to lead our team at our new location in Haymarket, Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in café operations, coffee brewing techniques, and team management. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and grow the Armonia brand in London, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Recruitment & Training:

• Collaborate with management to recruit and hire skilled baristas.
• Train baristas in coffee-making techniques, customer service, and health and safety protocols.
• Monitor and assess barista performance, providing feedback and additional training as needed.

Shift Scheduling:

• Organize and maintain shift schedules to ensure adequate staff coverage at all times.
• Provide support in case of last-minute scheduling changes to keep operations smooth.

Daily Café Operations:

• Oversee daily operations, including customer service, inventory management, and quality control.
• Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks and food items to customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and patrons.
• Ensure high-quality beverage production by following established recipes and standards.

Social Media & Brand Promotion:

• Oversee the cafés social media presence, encouraging team members to create and post content on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in line with Armonias brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop promotional strategies and drive brand growth.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to maintain stock, minimizing waste and shortages.
• Organize and restock bar supplies, ensuring efficient daily operations.

Customer Experience & Service:

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to encourage repeat visits and customer loyalty.

Event Coordination:

• Coordinate with the banquet and catering teams to ensure seamless service for special events hosted at the café.

Financial & Cash Handling:

• Handle cash transactions, operate the cash register, and ensure accurate daily cash reconciliations.

Collaboration & Brand Growth:

• Support the assistant manager and management team in promotional activities, menu development, and service improvements.
• Help foster Armonias brand culture and values within the café, working to establish a solid presence and reputation in London.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a café or coffee shop supervisory role is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, particularly espresso-based beverages.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create a welcoming, friendly environment.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in team management and staff development.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
• Familiarity with social media, particularly Instagram and TikTok, is an asset.
• Ability to handle cash transactions and basic financial reconciliations.
