First Choice are currently looking for 2 Higher Clerical Officers to work within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust.
One of these roles will be based out of Craigavon Area Hospital, and the other out of Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry.
These are full time temporary roles, working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, initially required until October 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Pay Rate: £12.75 Per Hour
The successful candidate must be able to display excellent organisational skills, knowledge of Microsoft office suite tools such as Excel and outlook, and be able to work of their own initiative.
Main Duties will be:
- Manage a high-volume administrative workload, ensuring the accurate processing and maintenance of confidential patient and departmental records.
- Deliver efficient administrative support to multidisciplinary clinical teams, facilitating the smooth day-to-day operation of hospital services.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and correspondence while maintaining accuracy and adherence to NHS/HSC policies and procedures.
- Respond professionally to enquiries from patients, healthcare professionals, and external agencies, providing timely information and support.
- Maintain electronic and paper-based records, ensuring compliance with data protection, information governance, and confidentiality standards.
- Prioritise competing administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment, consistently meeting deadlines and service requirements.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and official documentation using Microsoft Office applications and hospital information systems.
What We Need From You
- 4 GCSEs Grades A-C to include English Language OR b) NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent qualification)
- 1 years administrative/reception experience.
- Experience in using Microsoft WORD/ EXCEL/OUTLOOK or equivalent packages
