This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable function, lead a team, and drive process improvements while supporting finance, commercial, and operational teams with accurate financial reporting. What Were Looking For: Proven experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable or finance operations team Strong knowledge of AP processes, financial controls, and reconciliations Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems Experience within construction or project-based environments is desirable Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the AP and Contract Costing teams, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management Oversee invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations, and supplier account management Ensure compliance with financial controls, tax, and regulatory requirements Drive continuous process improvement, automation, and workflow enhancements Manage supplier relationships and resolve escalated queries or disputes Produce regular reporting on aged creditors, KPIs, and forecasts Support month-end close processes and maintain audit-ready controls For further information on this opportunity or to take the next step in your finance career, get in touch with Garry Thomson at HireIQ in complete confidence.
