As Conference & Event Manager, you will play a pivotal role in connecting our commercial and operational teams, ensuring conference and event business is planned, communicated and coordinated effectively across Imago Venues. Working closely with the Head of Revenue, you will oversee the Conference & Event Coordination Team, helping to maximise opportunities, maintain exceptional service standards and ensure customers receive a seamless experience from enquiry through to event completion. This is a highly visible role, working across multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are understood, operational teams are prepared, and conference and event activity runs smoothly across our venues. You'll act as an advocate for both the customer and the commercial team, helping to balance operational delivery with commercial opportunity. What You'll Do As Conference & Event Manager, you will: Lead and support the Conference & Event Coordination Team, creating a positive, customer-focused and high-performing culture. Conduct regular team check-ins, coaching and supporting team development. Ensure enquiries are managed professionally, accurately and within agreed response standards. Monitor enquiry quality, conversion performance and service standards, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Plan team resources to ensure effective workload management and operational efficiency. Lead weekly function sheet meetings and coordinate communication between commercial and operational teams. Build strong relationships across Operations, Finance, Revenue and key stakeholders. Work closely with the Head of Revenue to support venue utilisation, customer satisfaction and commercial performance. Lead engagement with large, complex and high-profile event enquiries and VIP clients. Conduct venue show rounds, customer appointments and event review meetings to maximise conversion and ensure successful event delivery. About You We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisational skills with a passion for customer service and team leadership. You'll ideally have: Experience within a conference, events, hospitality or customer-facing commercial environment. Previous experience leading, coaching or supporting colleagues. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong organisational and planning abilities. The confidence to work with multiple departments and stakeholders. A customer-first mindset with strong attention to detail. Commercial awareness and an understanding of sales conversion and customer experience.
