Skips R Us, a leading waste management company, is hiring a Full-time HGV Mechanic/Plant Fitter to join our growing team. As an HGV/Plant Mechanic, you will maintain our fleet of vehicles, trailers, and plant equipment. This includes Walking Floors, Tipping Trailers, Hook loaders, Skip Loaders, Shredders, Crushers, Excavators, and more. A competitive salary and all necessary tools will be provided to the selected candidate. Your Duties will include: Preparing HGVs and Trailers for MOT Ordering parts as required for repairs. Performing routine maintenance on company equipment and completing six-week inspections on all vehicles and trailers as necessary Respond to roadside breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults. Ensure that all required repairs are carried out in a timely manner This list is not exhaustive; additional duties may be required. Skills Required: Excellent organisational skills Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member. Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy machinery HGV Drivers License is Preferable Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools is advantageous.
