About The Team & Role
We are looking to appoint a project and programme support officer who is enthusiastic and self-motivated to support one or more of our transformation programmes.
Although not immune to the financial pressures faced by other councils, as a financially stable council we can afford to take a more positive approach to tackling them. Part of this approach is continuing our commitment to always seeking ways to do things better. As such, we haveidentifiedadditionalincome, savings, and efficiencies that will help us to remain financially stable at the same time as investing in a better future for Gloucestershire.
As a council, we have a renewed focus on transformation and change right across the council and ambitious plans in place that will enable us to continue this approach. So, we need someadditionaltransformation resource tosupportthese programmes to ensure that theanticipatedbenefits can be realised.
Workingclosely with colleaguesacrossthe council,you willassistthe programme team in ensuring that corporate standards forprogramme governancearemet and theobjectivesof the programme aresuccessfullydelivered.
You will bejoining a supportive team ofprogramme,projectand change management professionals within the Transformation team, who drive transformation and change across the council.

About You
To be successful, you will needexperience ofapplyingproject and programme management tools and techniques, including producing reportsand project plans.Youllalso need to bring yourflexibility andcreative problem-solving skillstosupport delivery ofobjectivesand resolution of issues within tight timescales.
You will need to use yourexcellent ability tocommunicate and build relationships with stakeholdersatdifferent levelsto ensure a collaborative approach to delivery, whilstalsoregularlyworkingto your own initiativeto focus on the task in hand.
