You will have responsibility for assisting in the smooth running of the on-site shop. Your duties will include serving customers; liaising with other departments to order and receipt stock; presenting and displaying stock for sale; monitoring use by dates; temperature checks; and cleaning and tidying the shop. This is temporary 9-12 months maternity cover, part time 27 hours per week Shift pattern: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8am-5.30pm Week 2: Thursday, Friday, 8am-5.30pm & Saturday 8am- 5pm Duties/Responsibilities: To gain a good understanding of the Pilgrim's Europe ethos and the products that it sells. To keep the on-site shop stocked and plentiful at all available times. Ensure the shop is kept clean, tidy and is welcoming to all potential customers and staff. Responsible for all aspects of shop handling and transfer throughout the shop. Responsible for accurate payment taking and recording Prompt reporting of any malfunctioning equipment ie Fridges/Freezers Any other reasonable duties as required. Ensure that the stock is presented in the best possible way in order to maximise overall sales. Ensure constant stock rotation in that all products are easily visible to customers. Minimise the amount of waste produced within the shop and keep a clear accurate check on any 'unfit for sale' products.
