VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with one of Northern Ireland's leading professional services firms to recruit an Internal Audit Manager to join their Belfast office. The Role This is a key opportunity to join a growing Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit team, providing assurance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Based in Belfast, the role offers exposure to high-profile clients across both public and private sectors, with occasional travel to Dublin. What You Will Do Lead and deliver a range of internal audit, risk management and assurance engagements across multiple industries. Manage all stages of the audit process, from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and presentation of findings to client Boards and Audit Committees. Coach, develop and review the work of junior team members to ensure consistent quality and professional growth. Advise clients on governance frameworks, internal controls, and risk management best practice. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Support business development activities, including tenders, proposals, and client presentations. Collaborate with colleagues across Audit, Tax, and Advisory functions to deliver integrated client service. Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with proven experience in internal audit, risk, or compliance. Previous experience at manager level within practice or a comparable in-house internal audit function. Strong technical understanding of risk management frameworks and internal control systems. Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
