SMT Supervisor

Maldon

£35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience

An expanding family run, high technology company in Maldon, are looking to recruit a SMT Supervisor to play a key role int the day-to-day running of the company. You will head up the management of staff and will have extensive experience of electronic manufacture including Surface Mount Technology.

Duties:

  • Liaise closely with account managers to ensure bords are built in an effective way.
  • Manage the workload and assign tasks to staff
  • Ensure staff have the necessary resources to perform their jobs
  • Ensure staff are following procedures correctly
  • Provide support and guidance to staff on jobs they're working on.
  • Be responsible for training and development of staff within the department.
  • Be responsible for monitoring work standards of staff
  • Assist in the recruitment process and carry out appraisals for your team

    • Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience of Surface Mount
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to multitask
  • Must have excellent leadership skills and good attention to detail
  • A working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 preferable
  • Must be able to understand drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Must be familiar with a range of hand tools including soldering irons, cutters and magnifiers
  • Must be approachable and adaptable
