Structured Cabling Engineer

Odin Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong installation and troubleshooting experience within structured cabling environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality structured cabling installations while supporting project planning and onsite coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and attend pre-installation meetings
• Plan cable routes and resolve any building or logistical challenges during installation
• Provide leadership and guidance to the project delivery team on-site
• Install structured cabling systems (CAT6 / CAT6A / CAT7)
• Install secondary containment systems including basket, trunking, conduit, and copex where required
• Install floor-mounted communication cabinets and server racks
• Terminate, test, and label cables within patch panels and data outlets
• Perform cable tracing and fault finding to diagnose and resolve network issues

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience working as a Structured Cabling Engineer or Data Cabling Engineer
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation standards and best practices
• Experience installing and terminating CAT6, CAT6A, or CAT7 cabling
• Ability to test, trace, and fault-find data cabling
• Experience installing containment systems and comms cabinets
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
