About the RoleWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people aged 8–18 within a residential care setting.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can thrive, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- The Support Worker will provide a safe, stable, and caring home environment
- Support young people with daily routines, including school, meals, and activities
- Promote emotional well-being, independence, and life skills
- Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships
- Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
- Support recreational, social, and educational activities (including evenings and weekends)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs in line with regulatory requirements
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
- Support health needs, including attending appointments and administering care (with training)
Additional Duties- Participate in training, supervision, and performance reviews
- Support educational development, including basic numeracy and literacy
- Assist with household tasks such as cooking and maintaining a clean environment
- The Support Worker will ensure health & safety standards are met at all times
- Provide support across services where required
