What this role is all about:Reporting to the Tax Manager, this is a great first opportunity to move in-house and join a dynamic and fast paced business. The Tax Analyst will primarily support the Vitality UK Tax team across the full spectrum of business taxes including CT, VAT, employment taxes, IPT, and international taxes in a varied and diverse role.Key Actions
Compliance work, including:
Preparation of VAT group returns and balance sheet reconciliations, with an eye of detail on VAT attribution and partial exemption sensitivities
Preparation of PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations, including maintaining strong working relationships with HR & other teams to ensure appropriate spend is included/excluded
Managing the preparation of UK corporation computations including assessing tax sensitive spend
Managing the compliance for short term business visitors to the UK, including working with international teams to collate relevant information on a timely basis
Managing the preparation for tax accounting under IFRS, including liaison with internal and external audit teams, and posting tax journals in SAGE
Supporting international tax reporting by maintaining dashboards and liaising with international teams (CbCR, Pillar 2, tax transparency, transfer pricing)
Maintaining strong tax governance controls and documentation
Acting as a trusted business partner, providing clear and persuasive tax guidance to internal stakeholders
Assistance with ad hoc tax projects, including tax automation initiatives
What do you need to thrive?
Minimum 2 years experience in a tax role (in-house or practice)
Professional qualifications such as AAT, ATT, ACCA, ACA, or CTA (part-qualified or qualified)
Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, including working remotely with global cross-functional teams
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Adaptable and proactive, embracing change as an opportunity for improvement
Strong written and verbal communication, research, and analytical skills
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAGE or similar)
