Pure Search are instructed on a rare opportunity for a mid-senior level Tax Associate / Senior Associate with a leading City law firm.

The Firm:

Our client represents an anomaly amongst City law firms, with no billable target hours and one of the best retention rates of any firm in the City. They are also one of the best paying firms compared to output hours, making them a genuinely unique proposition.

Having overseen the most recent hire into this team, we are working closely with the firm's Tax team to help with a further hire. Based in the heart of the City, our client is a full service law firm with particular strength in working with technology, media and IP-rich clients. You will find yourself advising clients ranging from early-stage companies who may be raising SEIS, EIS or VCT finance through to large listed household names who are structuring their financing, M&A and licensing transactions.

The Role:

The role will sits within the transactional Tax practice and will suit a non-contentious Tax lawyer.

Responsibilities will include:

• Advising on a range of corporate tax matters;
• Supporting the firm's generalist tax practice, advising on new and emerging areas of tax law;
• Analysing factual and legal tax issues and providing advice to a broad range of clients;
• Contributing towards business development and knowledge management initiatives.

About You:

• England & Wales qualified Tax solicitor with at least 5-years post-qualification experience;
• Experience of corporate tax and related tax matters;
• Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and high levels of responsibility;
• Genuine interest in business development and tech/media sector-focused work;
• Track record supervising and supporting junior members of a team.
